    Synopsis

    Terry and Kati live in Denver. It was love from the moment they met at Very Gay Beans Cafe. The trouble is
    Five years have passed
    Now ten
    Now fifteen
    and time just keeps moving faster and faster.
    When a tragedy takes place several miles from their home, Terry and Kati are forced to slow down and ask each other, how should a conversation be? That is, how can we establish a profound connection, which feels distinctly available after an act of violence, in our day to day?

    Synopsis

    It's 16th century France and everything is horrible! There's bubonic plague, major agricultural collapse and the leadership is corrupt as all hell. When a dancing plague breaks out, a group of potato farmers cue the strobe lights and reach towards hope. These are the Choreomaniacs. This is their (mostly) true story.

    Synopsis

    From the top of the 10 meter diving board, 17 year old Annie sees the face of a man ripple across the water and, subsequently, in everything she does. Joanna thinks its God, Tiernan's too busy trying to win states to pay attention and Rico just wants to get laid. An athletic new play about the terror of young womanhood and the ways that we cope with the thing in the shadows.

    Synopsis

    In the days leading up to the National Breathholding Competition, a documentary film crew capture star breathholder Evelyn Balm’s strenuous routine. Inspired by Dogme 95, The Evelyn Balm Story takes a sincerely humorous approach to our obsession with competition and the length’s we’ll go to for the people we love.

    Synopsis

    A meta-theatrical play with pop music, 9/10 Beds weaves two timelines s to explores the past and present of reproductive justice in Texas. In the 1969 timeline (inspired by Lucia Berlin’s Tiger Bites), Willa and Lauren travel to Chihuahua, Mexico in pursuit of an abortion before the passing of Roe. In the 2022 timeline, Malena and Daph are writing a play steps from the Texas capital following the overturning of Roe. The entire project was built around the question "how does pleasure show up in Texas after Roe?". It was created as a six week MFA Studio Project (designed as a lab for theatrical experiments) at the The University of Texas at Austin.

    Synopsis

    Am I Busy Yet? is a solo immersive show that follows Gus, the unmoored younger sister of athleisure icon Ty Haney, as she crosses things off a gargantuan to-do list. Beginning with a guided meditation and ending with a full tilt birthday bash, Gus enlists the audience’s help as she confronts the pressures of modern industry and rediscovers her sense of pleasure.

  • Synopsis

    The Sprint is a DIY artist retreat produced by Malena Pennycook and Robin Chotzinoff on the Mishpocha Woods Compound in South Austin. The mission of The Sprint is simple: bring artists together and help them make significant progress on an individual project in a short period of time. The vibe falls somewhere between a co-working space and an adult summer camp. Since it’s inception in 2022, the Sprint has supported dozens of artists and projects.

  • Full Length Play (written partially in Spanish)

    Synopsis

    Las Malvinas, Argentina 1982. Two brothers, Mac and Ike, are trapped between two wars. The island's cannon fire is making Mac explode from the inside out and Ike doesn't want them to be the next Argentino's to disappear. At least there are penguins. Loosely inspired by Oedipus Rex, Two Apprentices is a dark fairy tale about brotherhood, imperialism and the slipperiness of hope.
